The Listeners

About The Work

The portraits found within “The Listeners” are painted on the facsimiles of George Orwell’s original hand written manuscript for his ground breaking novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. The people depicted in the portraits are all lost in the bliss of entertainment, wearing decorative headphones of some type. The models that sat for the portraits all live or are in some way related to the city of Troy, New York.
