Population

About The Work

Like the The Extruder before it, the Population project was comprised of a series of machines that could extrude tiny Play-Doh objects. These objects included cars, dogs, telephones, airplanes, wine, houses and other items a population of humans use in daily life. The thousands of Play-doh objects Population made were then used to generate 15-20 wall hung artworks. These stand-alone compositions were inspired by mandalas and spoke to the materiality that modern humanity relies on.
