Inspired by Pablo Picasso’s epic painting Guernica, this robotic artwork continuously changes its configuration and composition, attempting to erase itself into a new form. Though the bombing of the city of Guernica took place nearly a century ago and the city has been rebuilt, the stain of that apocalypse is still with us all, whether we choose to see it or not. It is a constant reminder that though we live in a world of fantastic reconfigurable futures, when lunacy and tyranny go unchecked, we can so easily be maneuvered or convinced to obliterate ourselves, again and again.
